This hotel clearly had its prime some time ago and is now due for a refurbishment. It is clean, I’ll give it that. The staff are fantastic, and the food is as good as ever - but while it used to impress a few years ago, it now feels quite outdated. The heating/air conditioning system is old and barely works, making the room stuffy and weird temp. The amenities are well maintained and clean, but the old carpet had a strong smell of cleaning chemicals making stuffiness even worse. We only stayed one night, but for a longer stay we would have definitely asked to move rooms - we both woke up feeling congested, puffed with what seemed like an allergic reaction. For the price, you would expect a higher standard, especially considering how quickly Gdańsk is developing and improving. If Qubus doesn’t invest in updates, it risks falling even further behind the competition.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location of the property is fabulous. Right by the water, with a wonderful view, and a short walk from the old town and many good restaurants. The only slight drawback to this type of location is that it's not the most quiet. We were unable to sleep with our window open because of the late nightlife. We found it a small price to pay for the rest of the conveniences. Would stay there again.

We had a fabulous twin room with dual aspect windows (213) looking out onto the station building. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Outside was busy and noisy as you would expect from a station forecourt but the double glazing did its job and we used aircon at night. The trains were electric so quiet. It was more alarms and lorry reverse alarms. Only one shower cap and other amenities provided but I’m sure we could have asked for more.
