We stopped for a short mini break. The hotel location is in a great location walking distance to most places and not far from the metro. We only had chance to try the breakfast once they start serving from 8am however because we had plans and early starts and excursions we missed the breakfast. If they served from 7am we might of had chance to grab something. They have a small offering on a table of cereals and pastry's and you can order a hot breakfast from the menu which we were not charged for. The Georgian breakfast was very tasty.
We arrived to the hotel very early early at 6am. The place was in darkness and had us concerned at first thinking we might have to wait outside. However we found the door open, we quickly discovered the night porter was taking a nap. He quickly jumped up and sorted us out with an early check-in.
Our room was at the front of the hotel. We had a balcony that over looked the square but given it was winter we didn't use it. There is a lot of noise from outside entering the room so wasn't great for getting to sleep. Its quite a busy main square.
Our first impressions of the room were not great. It stunk of stale cigarette smoke, there was evidence of smoking in the room we found ash on the side table. We were so tired we just wanted to have a quick nap. In all honestly the smell never left the room. When we got home we could smell the stale smell on our clothes.
The restaurant downstairs is worth a visit.
