At the heart of the home is its great room with vaulted ceilings, stone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful Kiamichi Mountains. The open plan allows for easy access to the kitchen and dining area offering plenty of enjoyment space for larger groups. Guests appreciate the second large entertainment room well-suited for kids and teens. Relax on the furnished back patio, take a dip in the hot tub, gather 'round the fire ring to make s'mores, or square off for a rousing game of horseshoes. Amazing place to unwind and breathe in the quiet calmness of seclusion. Rain or shine.3rd annual visit and already planning the 4th. Great cozy living room, bedrooms, and Clean cabin. Some utensils and tools could use an update, but over all incredible and modern place. Host is amazing and very responsive. Recommended for 4 people. Thank you! This was our second stay at this fabulous place! We were on vacation with 6 of our mostly grown kids. There is plenty of room to spread out! We took a remote control car down the road on the property and found a rocky area that was perfect! We also flew a remote control plane around the back yard! Endless board games and puzzles kept us busy! Highly recommended!!

The lodge is truly remarkable. The view is beautiful, it's remote but easy to get to. Easy access to Smithville if you need quick last minute groceries (Dollar General only). It's only a 30-minute easy drive up to the Ouchita and Winding Stair Mountains where there is fantastic dog-friendly hiking. On property there is a private creek for fishing and swimming opportunities, and even more just 20 mins away in the Beech Creek National Recreation Area. We did not bother going into Hochatown....way too much traffic and the mountains are more impressive to the NORTH. You can literally have the National Forests and Mountains to yourselves up there vs down near Broken Bow. The cabin itself is well appointed and very spacious. I know the photos change from time to time, but was looking forward to playing cornhole and teaching my kids horseshoes, both which were unavailable. The pool table IS there as of Jul 2025 (there seems to be some conflicting reviews on this). We would absolutely rent this cabin again. We were a family of 5 and are thinking about bringing the in-laws with us next time.

Amazing location for the annual boys retreat! A great place to enjoy a movie by the fireplace, morning coffee with a game of cards, group activities, relaxation in the hot tub, and some good ol' quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Plenty of relaxation space and very comfortable sleeping arrangements. A/C AND heat work great. Host is quick to assist with any issues. This might be our yearly spot for some time to come!See you next year!

Yearly Family Trip to Oklahoma

Every Year our family plans a trip to Disconnect and Reconnect. This cabin and its surroundings were just what we all needed. Waking up every morning with a cup of coffee to sit outside in the back and enjoy its views was the best part in starting off the day. We did all the trails on the property. All worth doing. Just keep in mind no distances are provided on the maps nor signs on the trails. So just keep walking... Creek wasn't full at the time so we couldn't fish there but on one of our trails we did end up finding a fishing spot. The cabin was nice and accommodated everyone. The kids enjoyed the playroom here they disconnected from us parents. The cabin is also near 3 other cabins just keep that in mind in the event that you see other cars passing by. But not once did we hear any disturbance from anyone.

Absolutely perfect!

We loved this place! Two of my grown kids live in big cities and they wanted to get away from it all and this fit their desires! It is remote so bring food! The game room was so nice with the pool table and huge TV. On a practical note, 4.5 bathrooms really helped our party of 8! Mornings on the sun porch were delightful! Everyone wants to go back next year!

I can’t say enough about this property we had the most amazing time with all of our kids and grandkids! Each family had there own room with a bathroom in there we weren’t on top of each other had lots of room for everyone! We had a little issue with the AC they had someone there within an hour to fix it ! The view was spectacular! I highly recommend this property the host was the best !
