Old school charm and superb value

This was a fantastic experience . Helpful staff, a great on site pool and an amazing breakfast to start the day. The hotel is charming and almost all rooms have a balcony to sit out on at the end of the day. The price of the accommodation is quite reasonable and they even provide you with a welcoming glass of wine on the beachfront rooftop of their sister property. It has been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel that over delivered on my expectations. The El Cid was a great place to experience the magic of Sitges

Exactly that it promises.

Simple, clean room for a great stay. No frills but super convenient—especially if you’re using public transportation. Easy check-in. The breakfast was honestly wonderful and it saved me a bunch not having to eat lunch. Great selection of hot and cold dishes. Would highly recommend.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful The breakfast buffet was a big surprise Plenty of hot food, cold food, American food, Spanish food, cheese, food, pastries, coffee This was really a big huge brunch every morning and it was great to have it downstairs The hotel has upgraded to double pane windows so anytime you want quiet you just shut the window and it’s perfectly quiet There is a fan in the ceiling And there is an AC unit I didn’t use either I splurged for a room with a balcony It was great to sit outside on a cute little European side street and just watch the day go by ELCid was centrally located And I would stay there again!

Very good hospitality staff at breakfast and reception, room service/cleaning staff very pleasant and friendly. Room was adequate and good value for price paid although some arears of improvement needed. The hotel is excellent value for the location and level of customer service, breakfast is amazing frim 8-noon and pool area safe and relaxing with good facilities. On the whole very good value for money.

Nice one star hotel in a convenient location with nice pool area. Is basic but enough for short stays. Nice bathroom and shower. The walls are thin, so noise from next door rooms are clearly heard. Breakfast is okay, basic selection everyday - enough to start your day. It isn’t luxury, but clean and comfortable. This is a basic hotel.

This is a lovely hotel in a very central location in Sitges. Very convenient for walking everywhere - public transport, supermarkets, the beaches and of course the night life. I have stayed here quite a few times before (if I can manage to get a booking - its always very popular) because I love the balance it strikes for value for money which over the 40 years I have been visiting Sitges must be more and more challenging for the hotel - but it and its wonderful still manage it. I felt this year the hotel was looking much brighter and refresher than usual including the restaurant and pool area. The staff are all very helpful and friendly to make sure I enjoyed my stay. My room was very good - very spacious, spacious bathroom with an excellent shower. I choose a room with a balcony so it was great to be able to sit outside to have a refreshment as the day started to cool. It was on the street side of the hotel so expect the noise of central Sitges - bring ear plugs! It also had a good size fridge perfect for keeping drinks nice and chilled. All the housekeeping staff are very helpful and did a great job with my room each day - thank you.
