Staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful but the staff on the door went above and beyond to help. The room was TINY with no window and stuffy. Air conditioning unit was dirty and made us sick. Bathroom was the worst. No room to shower. Toilet was under the shower and everything got wet when you showered. Toilet paper and towels included.

There was nothing unique about this property. One step up from a backpackers hostel. Advertisement was misleading regarding pool, fridge and windows. Or should I say lack of all of the above. They say you get what you pay for, well that's all you get here.

Great Value

Pros: It was next door to a really nice cafe who offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Close to bus stop. Convenience store next door also.
Great Value, we enjoyed our overnight stay at Value Hotel Balestier, staff were friendly, apartment was clean and comfortable.

Pros: Location of the hotel in the area where food is easily accessible.
Cons: The ammenities like bath gel and shampoo just don't make the cut, To make it worse, the room does not have a box of facial tissue papers.
It is easy to flag down a cab essentially anytime of the day.

Facilities: Nothing special; Service: Courteous; There's a neat hawker centre round the corner for good cheap food. Easy walk to TTSH.
