I could hear the noise (gargle&snoring!!) from next door which I felt less comfortness for the room.

We could not find any fault during our stay. Our room was exactly as image portrayed on website. Very roomy, stylish decor and appreciated desk which I used as my dressing table. Hotel is in great position close to shopping centre & hop on hop off bus stop. Staff couldn't do enough to help! We'll definitely be recommending Orchid Hotel to others.

We had a large modern room on the 19th floor with views. Hotel location is very handy within a short walk to Chinatown and MTR station just across the road. Also many Japanese and Korean restaurants nearby. We were very happy with the room for the rate we got it from Wotif but do your own shopping around to be sure. A friend was staying in Singapore at a Big Brand Hotel and paid a lot more for a room that was not as nice as the Orchid. Don't be put off by the small lobby as there is a restaurant, gym and large pool on level 3. We found the staff very helpful and the concierge found us a taxi on several occasions. We would genuinely stay there again and recommend the Orchid Hotel to anyone staying a few days in Singapore.

Convenient where conference held

Pros: Room large and comfortable
Cons: Better selection for lunch time cafe dining and review prices for soft drinks. e.g. milk shake or take off menu
Good value - functional hotel for business. Buffet dinner reasonable at S$20 - but S$12 for a vanilla milkshake was annoying. Room comfortable, good size - desk - free wifi Not much close by for shopping but good business meetings.

Stop over

Pros: Staff. Breakfasts. Swimming pool. Location.
Cons: Nothing of note. Would stay there again
Location: Handy to train station and easy tio get to and from Airport. China town. Easy walks to many areas of interest.
Enjoyed it. Staff were prepared welcoming and helpful.

Wrong Hotel right place

Pros: very friendly great staff
Cons: rooms were a bit dated, the food not great for westerners
Location: good location, lots of resto's + pubs
I thought I had booked the orchard hotel in orchard rd..but I goofed at the booking stage choosing the orchid hotel...while not in the same class as the orchard...the location turned out to be great with lots of hot spots and food around + close to chinatown

A good and affordable hotel near China Town

Pros: Location
Cons: More choice for the breakfast
Location: Near MTR, China Town
Friendly and helpful staff, location is very good, the MTR just cross road and walking distance to China Town, generous room size in Singapore even though it's a bit old, but fair enough.
