Welcome to Sunny Silves and our recently renovated townhouse! Enjoy the sun in the peace of a secluded garden with old stone walls and fruit trees. Explore a charming historic town on your doorstep. Nature walks in the hills begin directly behind the city and the coastline and beaches, are just a short 15 kilometre drive.

Our property consists of 2 recently renovated townhouses in the centre of Silves. Each house has a private terrace, but they share a common courtyard and garden.

Your house is next to the garden. To access it you need to walk along a common courtyard. It has a living room with open kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a hall and a bathroom with shower.

From your private terrace you can have a meal, enjoy the sun or relax immersed in green. The garden has old stone walls and fruit trees.

The old town is on your doorstep. Silves is a town on a hill. Above is the old Moorish castle (once the capital of the Algarve) and below the Arade river. There are monuments, charming restaurants and cafes, but the city is calm compared to the nearby coast.

Only a short drive of 15 km brings you to the Southern coast. There are a few long flat expanses but mostly there are cliffs, intimate beaches and pretty villages.

Directly to the north of Silves begin the foothills of the Sierra de Monchique. It is a beautiful place for nature walks and one feels far from everything.

There are no parking restrictions, with a bit of luck you should be able to park on the road close to the house.

There is internet but no TV

No air conditioning but thick walls. I find the summer temperature pleasant inside but there are electric fans in the bedrooms if you are too hot. In the winter the days are usually sunny but the evenings can get chilly. In the living room there is a wood stove and a portable modern gas heater. The bedrooms have electric radiators.

Great location

We stayed for 11 nights during a very warm September/October the property was in a great location in the small town of Silves. The gardens were lovely with shady (very welcome) and sunny areas. The family in the other apartment allowed us to use the roof terrace as they had a young child and didn't need it Although the garden was shared there was plenty of room for everyone with privacy if needed. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed and more for our stay. There was a very useful welcome pack of water, juice, milk etc. that was a very pleasant surprise Thyl is a great host, and we really enjoyed our stay in Silves The many restaurants, bars and just a few tourist shops were just what we wanted. We didn't have a car but managed with the local buses and taxi to train station out of town .

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der sehr um das Wohl seiner Gäste bemüht ist. Der Garten am Haus mit der kleinen Terrasse ist sehr schön, die Kinder haben es geliebt, mit dem vorhandenen Sport- und Spielzeug dort zu spielen. Die Ventilatoren in den Zimmern haben aufgrund der Wärme gute Dienste geleistet. Über die kühlen Getränke im Kühlschrank (Cola, Wasser, Bier und ein leichter Weißwein) haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Die Gegend ist mit Auto gut zu erkunden und sehr abwechslungsreich. Wir würden dort gern wieder übernachten.

Nice spot

The house is confortable and cozy. Perhaps some kitchen stuff missing if you like to cook, but this is a place that makes you enjoy your time here. The garden is very nice, beautiful and calm. And Thyl attends you very well. In summary, this is a place to recommend.

Un beau jardin au coeur de Silves

Dans les rues étroites de Silves et entre ses petites maisons, nous avons profité d'un beau et grand jard, ainsi que d'un logement bien équipé. Le séjour salon est vaste, la cuisine bien fournie. La chambre des parents est agréable et facile à rafraîchir même par grande chaleur, c'est plus difficile pour la chambre des enfants qui ne dispose que d'une très petite fenêtre.mais une climatisation est à l'étude. Silves offre une position centrale , Faro et Sagres à moins d'une heure. Le propriétaire habite tout près et même si nous avons utilisé la boîte à clés, il est passé faire connaissance.

Groen en rust in Silves

De eerste drie nachten van onze vakantie in Portugal waren bijzonder aangenaam. De tuin is prachtig, de plek voor de stad relatief rustig. Het huis was echt schoon, zeer plesant. Thylbert een zeer prettige gastheer. En werkelijk alles, ook voor onze twee jarige peuter was voorzien. Hij wil hier dus niet meer weg, de beste review ;-) Een fijne uitvalsbasis voor zowel een wandeling vanuit huis als na ca 25min auto prachtige bergwandelingen (en voor wie wil ook kust). Aanrader wat ons betreft!

La maison est conforme au descriptif. Terrasse et jardin très agréables. Environnement calme et reposant. Thylbert est un hôte charmant, à l’écoute et attentif aux suggestions. Nous recommandons fortement cette location .

Heerlijk plekje

Prima plek voor verblijf in stadje en toch heerlijk rustig. Prachtige tuin waar het goed toeven is. Nadeel van de woning in de winter is dat het vrij donker en kil (vochtig) is binnen. Gelukkig wel genoeg kachels om Het voldoende op temperatuur te krijgen. Er is geen tv of geluidsinstallatie maar de rijk gevulde boekenkast met prachtige boeken compenseert dat volledig.

El paraíso en la zona tranquila de Silves

Maravilloso jardín, apartamento espacioso, silencio y relax, terraza en el tejado para leer, tomar el sol o tomar un aperitivo. El propietario muy amable y nos dio mucha información de la zona y alrededores.
