The staff was friendly and helpful, the servers and cooks at the Safari Club restaurant were GREAT, the food was fantastic! Even our kids loved it. The free breakfast was good. Two hot options (neither were nondairy), oatmeal, milk, apple juice, orange juice, water, milk, a few teas (I’ll bring my own next time), coffee, hot cocoa if requested, muffins, two cold cereals (raisin bran, captain crunch), yogurt (lactose free), waffles. I had a couple nonlactose, gluten free options with the oatmeal and yogurt. There were also fresh apples, oranges, and bananas. It’s an older motel, but clean and well kept. We were very happy with our stay. The hot tub was lovely and not too hot for our kids. The view was very nice from the tub.

The room was clean but the beds were hard and uncomfortable and the safety lock on the door was loose and coming out of wall. The ice bucket in the bathroom was dusty and dirty. The breakfast was slim pickings. Before 9am we had room service knock and try to come in our room. The over all motel needs some TLC and updating. The price of our room was 121$ ish and I would say I’ve stayed at Super8 for less and better condition.

I was staying at the hotel 4 days, 3 nights. On the morning of the 3rd day I asked the front desk to have housekeeping perform housekeeping service to my room, as I would be gone all day and hoped to return to a clean room. I gave a tip to the front desk to please pass on to the room attendant that would service my room. I found it odd that when I returned to the room that night, I had fresh towels in my room but that was it. Beds were not made, trash had not been taken out. Upon arrival, both the sink and the shower drains were both clogged and backed up. I mentioned the sink drain and that was resolved but I do find the housekeeping situation odd. I have received service in my past stays; I’ve probably stayed at HSH 10 times or more in the last 5 years. I realize your hotel does not service rooms every day, but when I asked for service and provided a tip; I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue. Also it would be really nice if you guys had a bigger water bottle refilling station. The tap water has a taste to it, it would make a lot of your guests VERY happy to be able to fill up our water bottles!!
