When we decided to take a Route 66 trip, we looked for things recognizable and were happy to see that the Blarney Inn in Shamrock, Texas, was still there. We remembered it being clean and comfortable, now it's SHINEY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. Even the small laundry was scrubbed after every use! If you are looking for a true Route 66 experience, choose the Blarney room with confidence; it's a true Mom and Pop Motel but extravagant compared to our stay 53 years ago.

No luck of the Irish

Advertised as clean rooms, but several of the towels had long hair on them and there were several moldy areas. I just needed a place to crash for a few hours, otherwise I wouldn’t give this place a second look.
