Not a pleasant experience

Although we called a day ahead of our arrival to secure a shuttle from the train station, none came and we were left in the pouring rain to wait ½ hour for the free city shuttle. We called the hotel and no one answered. When we did arrive at the hotel, there was no one st the desk.The room was clean but there were collections of dirt caught in dust in the corners in the tiny bathroom. We were only offered a small bar of soap in the shower. At our final walk through to check for misplaced belongings, we found a nice pair of shoes behind the curtains near the corner that werent ours! We opted not to pay $20 for the breakfast buffet that was usual fare included at hotels charging half the price per night. The young man at the desk was busy on his phone when we had questions. We stayed at the Edgewater in 2015 and had a much different experience. It may have been near the end of the season, but we felt as though we were overlooked.

Great location in town. Breakfast is listed with hotel amenities, however, it's not included in the rate. The breakfast buffet in the lobby is an additional cost of $20/pp.

We have an amazing stay. We have a beautiful ocean view room facing the beautiful Resurrection Bay. The bed was so comfortable we don’t want to get up in the morning. The front desk staff was so helpful and accommodating.

Modern and clean not run down and tiring looking like most Alaska properties. Very convenient location to restaurants and attractions, on a nice day ! Breakfast buffet is available if you choose to do so but we went to a grocery store and stock up the fridge and itemize microwave they provided . Very impressive for what Seward has to offer.

The location was the very best thing about the hotel. Staff was very helpful and provided great recommendations. Room was on the bay side so we had great views of Ressurection Bay. Room was a little sparse and the bathroom was tiny. Hotel a little pricy for my taste.
