The space
Shaconage Lodge (Sha·KON·a·hey) is Cherokee for “Land of Blue Smoke” and the name says it all. From the upper and lower decks you can readily see why the Cherokee came to name the Great Smoky Mountains as Shaconage and the reason why we chose it for our lodge.

We would like to thank you for taking time to explore the possibilities of our 5 bedroom 4.5 bath luxury lodge that sleeps 14 very comfortably. This exquisite cabin includes 4 master suites all with adjoining bathrooms that include private Jacuzzi tubs and showers. Three of the suites have king beds while the fourth suite and 5th bedroom have queen beds. All beds have pillow top mattresses for the most luxurious sleep you can imagine. If you have never slept on a pillow top mattress then you are in for a real treat. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and baking utensils as well as a dish washer to simply your life. The lodge is family friendly with different zones for different activities and of course flat screen HDTVs in every room. Our driveway and turnaround area can easily park 8 vehicles so no need to park along a crowded street and walk a long way. The hot tub seating 5 is to die for after a fun filled day.

As you enter our home you will immediately feel engulfed by nature. The expansive walls of glass open up the home to the impressive views of the distant mountains and immediate woodlands. The main floor houses the living room with 50” flat screen High Definition HDTV, year round romantic gas fireplace (we do not restrict its usage to certain times of year as most rentals do - so please enjoy), dining room, kitchen and two king master suites. The leather furniture, comfortable and inviting, mixed with the warmth and charm of yesteryear antique decorations will help you immediately feel like you have arrived home.

The open kitchen allows interaction with the rest of the family during meal preparation. There is an in-door fridge ice maker and filtered water, pots, pans, baking goods, blender, food processor, coffee maker, plastic storage bowls, etc. and of course place settings for 18. We even include spices, aluminum foil and cellophane wrap, tea and starter coffee with filters.

The loft, containing the 5th bedroom is open yet semi-private and has the added benefit of providing the best view in the house all while lying in bed. On a sunny day one can see 50 miles or more across the mountain ranges. The loft also contains a half bath, full size air hockey table, sitting area with queen sofa sleeper and 32” flat screen HDTV. The loft overlooks the main floor and truly provides the most spectacular views around.

The basement contains the other two master suites, one king and one queen. The game room offers another queen size sofa sleeper along with a regulation size pool table, 55” flat screen HDTV, Blue-Ray DVD player and Wii game with 4 controls. There is also a utility room with full sized washer and dryer and we even include the detergent and dryer sheets for your convenience. You will find the iron and ironing board there also.

The lower deck, off the game room contains the 5 person hot tub and plenty of rocking chairs to rock away the hours. The upper deck has a nice pub style table and chairs just perfect for eating outdoors or that relaxing morning cup of coffee. Mornings are our favorite time on the upper deck, just sitting and taking in the peace and solitude and watching the squirrels jumping from tree to tree. It makes your morning cup of coffee feel like so much more. In addition, there are more rocking chairs and benches for your relaxing enjoyment.

Each Jacuzzi tub comes with a sampling of bath salts, bubble bath, shampoo and conditioner, just in case you forgot some of the essentials. Please feel free to indulge yourself and let the relaxing jets carry your cares away. The bath salts are an especially inviting treat that we hope you will enjoy.

You will be mesmerized by the views of both Mt LeConte and Clingman's Dome. The cabin sits atop Panther Knob on a heavily wooded one acre lot so you feel secluded while sitting out on either deck. We are close enough to Dollywood (approx. 2 miles) that you can hear the train whistle inside the home. Being centrally located, Pigeon Forge is less than 15 minutes away and you can take back roads to Sevierville and Gatlinburg bypassing all the heavy traffic.

Our "Downtown Club" refers to our hotel in Pigeon Forge, Arbors At Island Landing, about 15 mins from Shaconage where you are welcome to use our heated pool which is open 24/7 365 days a year. Additionally, you are welcome to partake in our other hotel amenities such as a nightly fire pit with free s'mores, weekend live music, use of free fishing poles and lures to fish in the Little Pigeon River behind the hotel and so much more.

You also have a daily FREE pancake breakfast for each person staying at the cabin. The breakfast includes a stack of 3 pancakes and a coffee, tea or soda. If you wish, for only $5.00 per person you can upgrade to their all you can eat breakfast buffet. The FREE breakfast is good daily from 7:30am to 9:30am. If you arrive after that you will receive a 20% discount off your regularly priced meal.
