Overall we had a great stay at Governors Village. The room was clean and comfortable. Our only wants were an ice maker in freezer or at least some ice trays and an in room safe would be nice. We also were told at check in that the Cafe was open on the weekends for dinner but tried both nights and it was closed. There were walkable places nearby so not a huge deal. The beach was close and wonderful. We bought a chair and umbrella at Cost U Less next door for the week. We will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at the Governors. The pool area is nice and so is the cafe. Although the property is less than a year old it already needs some repairs in the rooms. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would return again.

This a lovely clean hotel in an excellent location right opposite the entrance to a beautiful white-sand beach. The rooms are large with comfy beds and an added bonus of being fully equipped with kitchenettes. I was in a 1 bedroom suite (they are all suites btw) which had all the mod cons including two large TVs and a radio. There’s a living room with a large sofa and the walls are soundproof - I didn’t hear a thing from next door or outside. There is a great cafe/resturant in the Lobby area and a lovey swimming pool. The staff are professional and friendly and it you’re driving (which is recommended to see all the hidden gems around the island) there’s ample free parking too. I enjoyed my time in Grand Cayman as it’s such a beautiful island, and staying at the Governors Village added to that experience. Would definitely recommend!

Great location

Great location on 7 mile, easy to walk to nearby restaurants and shops. Very modern and clean rooms, nice pool and generally a quiet area. Also relatively cheap compared to most places in Grand.

Need more towels and blow dryers per person/ bathroom per room. Didn’t have washcloths. I recommend directions for the tv. Fox news was blocked. Maybe a nonstick pan added. Everything was great.
