Was surprised to have to pay extra for a blanket. Most hotels would give them for free to use. Couldn’t adjust the heat and had to open window. No conditioner in the bathroom. Walls too thin, could hear people yelling out in hallway, there was a power outage, bathroom wasn’t clean

Travelodge Dongdaemun was clean, efficient, well located near major attractions in Seoul with close proximity to public transport, restaurants, and shops nearby. The room was quite small; however, it fit our purpose for sleep, shower, and kept our belongings secure - this is not a hotel if you like to spread out! If I had to pick one issue, it was shower water pressure and heat-up, which took fair amount of time on the 9th FL - otherwise, no complaints about this hotel and found the prices quite reasonable for an overall expensive major world city like Seoul. While not my first choice, I would definitely consider another stay.

Request basic cleaning which includes ( emptying out garbage cans, changing towels, and making bed) beds were never made. On my fourth day, I requested deep cleaning, They changed towels, emptied out the garbage cans, made the bed, but never cleaned the floor. Second night of my stay power went out due to construction on the street. Hotel landline phone never worked and there were no way of getting hold of front desk. looking down from 17th story high there were multiple firetrucks and police cars. I walked down 17 floors to lobby to find out what that happened.. They have never informed guest of the incident till next day on a piece of paper place it on the elevator entrance. I thought that was very poor, communicating with guests of the hotel. By the way, I stayed five nights. Location was good .

Breakfast was a little light in variety, offering western breakfast options and what was more like asian dinner options. Juice, milk and coffee options were good. Overall, worth the $7USD. Room was clean. AC worked well.
