I've stayed here several times over the years. And the reason I keep using it is that it's on par with much more expensive hotels in the Gangnam area—in terms of room size, quality, modernity and location. Breakfast is functional and covers the bases rather than abundance, which for a business traveller is the right level.

Housekeeping super efficient; Front desk Ms Itzel Kim was excellent and helpful. So many good restaurants within walking distance. Nothing fanciful but has good quality amenities and sufficiently equipped for a pleasant business or holiday stay.

If you use the Airport Limousine there is a stop very close to this hotel. Conveniently there is a 7-11 attached to the hotel for quick snacks and water. The provided breakfast buffet had a great selection and it was easy to find a table and enjoy the meal. Our group didn't enjoy this area. We couldn't find much in terms tourist gifts, local markets, etc. that was walking distance, but this is also more of a business district. Staff were friendly about our early check-in and held our bags on our last day while we waited for our flight.

Clean room. Terrible service. Had to make a fuss about getting extra pillows bc they said they had none. Later a staffer came up and apologized and brought the extra pillows. Not what I expected from Shilla.
