Had the loveliest time here! Where to start? From the central location (walkable to most main places in central Seoul, incl. sights, Jongno and Myeong-dong areas for shopping, dining etc.) to the rooms which were impeccably clean, modern and cared for. It is also incredibly convenient to have a 7/11 and a coffeeshop in the ground floor. Furthermore, the Airport Bus stop is right across the street, making it incredibly practical. Finally, the staff was friendly and attentive, able to accommodate my early check in request. If I come back, I am certainly coming back to LOTTE City Hotel Myeongdong, no need to look elsewhere.

Great hotel near Myeongdong

The hotel is clean, spacious rooms modern, like the mid-2010 aesthetics. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Myeongdong Cathedral and Myeongdong street and easily near the metro line and bus lines. If you are coming from ICN airport it’s about 1 hour with Expresss and metro. Cars will drop off and pick up from the back end since it’s less traffic than the main road. The rooms are clean, and beds are comfortable. We had the deluxe room with a double and a queen. Sheets were cozy but nothing special. The bathroom is clean and there’s some extra counter space. There bathtubs are deep Asian style and power of shower heads was good. The cleaning staff will make your room or tidy around if you switch the door knob to indicate your preference. There’s also a 7-11 attached right by the lobby so if you want snacks or food you don’t have to go far. There’s also restaurants and other convenience stores around the hotel. The 3rd floor has the gym, with your basic treadmill and weights but it’s clean and maintained. There’s a coin laundry and multipurpose room where you also iron clothes or use the microwave. No microwaves in the room but there’s a refrigerator and kettle. Overall nice staff, nice place, safe and convenient location.

Hotel was located in center of everything you want to do in Seoul. It was close to shopping, food, and transportation facilities. Everything was so convenient. Front desk customer service agents were very friendly and knowledgeable. I want to acknowledge CINDY at the front desk especially for her friendliness and her professionalism. Lotte Hotel Myeongdong is a great central choice in Seoul, especially if it is your first time visiting. The little amenities, like the water machines easily available in the hall, laundry, etc. made this stay even better than anticipated. Would definitely like to stay again in future!

It was a pleasant stay. Near a lot of spots. I would have preferred a softer bed but that is a personal preference. The hotel was clean and staff amazing. Just be aware that when using taxi or Uber, that it is the Lotte hotel Myeongdong or you could end up at the other Lotte when getting a car. Stay was perfect!

The hotel puts way too much fragrance in their building. As soon as you walk into the lobby you immediately smell fragrance that’s so strong! We were miserable the whole time! People have allergies to these fragrance so stop using so much! Awful! The housekeepers were great, buffet at breakfast was the same food every single day. I would never come back due to the heavy fragrance.
