Cosy Cottage with a guesthouse and jacuzzi on Golden Circle, sleeps up to 6 people. Registration number HG-00010206 The cottage is located near Borg í Grímsnesi, and 20 minutes from Selfoss. 4 Bedrooms, 1 1/2 Bathroom, Sleeps up to 6 people in 2 houses. If you book for more then 4 people you will also have access to the guesthouse. PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: The property has two houses and a big garden and accommodates up to 6 people. There is a large patio with jacuzzi, garden furniture and a BBQ. MAIN HOUSE (MAX 4-6 people) The main house is 55 m2, that can accommodate 4 people. It is well equipped, there is as 42“ TV (and apple TV) in the living room and there is a good open and fully furnished kitchen with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher and small stove, baking oven and a microwave are located in laundry room. One bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer is in the main house. Bedrooms in the main house are for 4 people:-First bedroom with king size bed 180cm and a wardrobe. Second bedroom with a 140cm size bed and a 70 cm bunk bed above it, plus a wardrobe. There is a laundry room with a washing machine. Sheets, linen and towels are included in the price, as well as soap, and washing liquid for the washing machine. THE GUESTHOUSE (4 people): The guesthouse is 25 m2 and can accommodate up to 4 people. It is separated from the main house. It has 2 bedrooms one with a bed 140 cm size and one with 160 cm bed and a WC with sink, but NO SHOWER. The guesthouse is only rented out with the main house, never separately. Please let us know if you are interested in renting the guesthouse also. The main house is only for 6 people. OUTSIDE: The jacuzzi is standing on the patio where there are also garden furniture. LOCATION: The house is located on the Golden circle, and sights such as Thingvellir the Icelandic national park, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Kerið crater, are all within an hour´s drive from the house. The location is a perfect base for taking day trips to explore the southern part of Iceland as well as the western part or the highlands in the summertime. There is a swimming pool with hot tubs (Minni borg) located 5 minutes drive from the cottage. The house is located approx 55 min (75km) drive from the capital Reykjavík, and there is only 15- 20 min drive to the next village, Selfoss, and about 90 min drive from the international airport Keflavik. Less than 15 minutes drive from the house is Route 1, the road that circles around Iceland. On that road you can venture further south along the southern shore to see sights such as Reynisdrangar, Reynisfjara or visit Vík village. The ferry to Westmann Islands from Landeyjarhöfn is about one hour´s drive away. Further east you'll find Skaftafell and the famous Jokulsarlon (Vatnajokull glacier lagoon) as well as many other magnificent landmarks. GOLF COURSES: Two great 18 hole golf courses are 10 minutes away, Kidjaberg is the better one but Ondverdarnes is a good challenge as well. There are also golf courses in Hraunborgir (10 min), Laugarvatn (15 min), Selfoss (20 min), Úthlíð (30 min), Flúðir (30 min) and more. In the neighborhood you can also go horseback riding, hiking, river rafting, glacier walking, snorkeling, Ice cave tours, caving, super jeep tours, snowmobile tours, angling etc. depending on the season of the year, or just relax and enjoy the nature.
