Admire breathtaking views of Sawyer's Cove toward Blue Hill Bay from this stunningly situated home on the western shores of Mount Desert Island, where you'll have an expansive wrap-around deck right near the water. Built in 2004, this bayfront home is modern, spacious, comfortable, and tucked neatly into the island's mature woodlands. You and your family will be treated to two complete levels of living space, two full kitchens to make cooking with your loved ones a breeze, and wonderful access to Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor, and the incredible landscapes of Acadia National Park. A community tennis court is perfect for outdoor recreation.

Beachcombers and kayakers will appreciate being able to walk just a few steps to the shores of idyllic Sawyer's Cove. Should you choose to leave the property (and you may not), the bustling villages of Southwest Harbor (seven miles) and Bar Harbor (14 miles) are only minutes away by car, and you'll find the Seal Cove portion of Acadia just down the road. When you're not strolling the Ocean Path or cycling on carriage roads in the park, you can enjoy the very quiet cove watching shorebirds and beautiful sunsets. Fantastic views, gorgeous sunsets, and very quiet location make this home great. We would stay at Compass Rose again because of that. It’s a bit dated, but has everything you need and has plenty of comfortable couches. We covered all of Mount Desert Island from Seal Cove with everything just 15-30 minutes away. Perfect for our family gathering.

We had a wonderful stay at compass rose. The large deck overlooking the water and secluded, peaceful location were the best parts. We spent the days exploring Acadia national park and looked to returning in the evening to relax on the deck.

Beautiful House at a Beautiful Location

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful home on Seal Cove. While the pictures looked great when we booked the house, we were incredibly pleased to find the actual home and location were so much better in person!
