Unlike all the other villages in the Lower Engadine, Tarasp lies on the right bank of the Inn and is made up of eleven neighbourhoods. Thanks to numerous mineral springs on Tarasp soil, the Vulpera district in particular developed from a farming village into one of the most important health resorts in Switzerland in the second half of the 19th century.



The Chasa Suot Chasté Tarasp used to rent out guest rooms. Now the entire Engadine house is available as holiday accommodation.

Surrounded by houses decorated with sgraffito, directly at the foot of Tarasp Castle, you have a marvellous view of the castle with Lake Tarasper, the village of Ftan opposite, the main town of Scuol and the imposing mountain world of Piz Pisoc, Piz Zuort, Piz Nair, and Piz Plavna Dadora from the house flat as well as from Tarasp itself.

Shopping facilities and the PosAuto bus stop are in the immediate vicinity, about 10 minutes on foot. Or treat yourself to culinary delights from the region in the romantic Swiss stone pine ambience of the 15 GaultMillau-point Schlosshotel Restaurant Chastè.



In summer, Tarasp is the starting point for hikers and bikers on tours in and around the Swiss National Park. Vulpera is home to one of the oldest outdoor swimming pools in Switzerland and a nine-hole golf course.



In winter, cross-country skiing, winter hiking and sledging trails are groomed. The kids' ski lift and the ice rink on Lake Tarasper invite you to enjoy other winter activities. The Motta Naluns ski area on the opposite side of the valley is easy to reach with the free ski bus.



The Engadin Scuol holiday region guest card is included in every booking for all guests.
