Paying for location only

Some employees were so nice, but then there were a couple rude women at the front desk. The biggest issue is for what they charge the rooms are in major need of tlc. The wallpaper was coming off fr the bathroom wall, the carpet is all discolored and pulling up, scratches all of the furniture. Not worth what’s charged. Maybe a 2 star hotel et best, they need to invest in this property.

Second time I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah to visit my daughter who is going to SCAD. You can't beat the location as it is central to everything. They also have a nice bar area and other amenities. I didn't have to park a car so not sure about Valet but probably not cheap. My biggest complaint is that each time I have stayed there is that the walls between the rooms seem very thin. I can literally hear the conversations of our neighbors like they are in the room and since I am a light sleeper makes it difficult for me to get some rest. Otherwise the rooms are pretty nice and if you are facing the river you get some nice views. Fair warning, they charge you a resort fee which they tell you up front but can seem a little excessive compared to other hotels.

Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
It is an up kept property evidentially very old. The bar is expensive. The restaurant not up for the prices. Staff at de front desk are friendly. Had a horrible experience with roaches in my room. Did not see that comming since they do housekeeping everyday. Shampoo and amenities are scarce and maybe on the cheap side. Valet is way too expensive. Better look for parjing elseware.
