Keep driving on by….☹️

Check in was horrible. The guy at reception gave us no info regarding the hotel other than shoving the keys at us. Room keys didn’t work, got them rekeyed and we entered a room with other people in it. Had to go back again and be assigned a different room. Pool was permanently closed, yet advertised as open on website. Breakfast was total crap: definitely wouldn’t have paid for it. We normally live holiday inns and stay there a lot but we will never go back to this one!!!

The woman who checked us in was the sweetest and had a great sense of humor. Which I appreciated after 14 hrs in the car. We got an end room was great. As we have a 7 year old who I often worry will annoy people if he gets excited or talks loudly. The only down side was the bathroom. There was boogers or blood on the wall to the right of the mirror and more on the inside of the tub. I didn’t get close enough to figure out which it was. As we just needed a rest before the next leg of our trip home. But honestly. If every hotel had the kind of employee checked me in last night. There could never be a bad stay!

We were woken up by VERY LOUD drunk partiers who arrived at the room next to ours at about 3am. This essentially ruined our night's sleep. I would not return to a Holiday Inn as it seems to attract partiers.

My stay at the Holiday Inn was extremely disappointing. In the first room I was given, I saw two roaches one of which got into my food. I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue, and they moved me to a different room. However, shortly before checking out, I saw a lizard in the new room. I brought this to the attention of the front desk again, this time speaking with the manager. His response was that the site was not infested and that he would “accommodate” me. The accommodation turned out to be a mere $15 credit. I have stayed at many hotels and have never had an experience like this. Trust me when I say do not book a stay at this Holiday Inn.
