Ebony at the front desk, Lee at the bar, and the older, red headed lady at the restaurant in the mornings were wonderful and friendly. The rest of the staff seemed indifferent and didn’t seem to want to be there. The valets out front were always acting foolishly and being loud; they didn’t act professionally at all. The rooms were clean. We were awoken early on our first morning to a fire alarm, and it was disheartening that there was no communication or direction from the staff as what was happening. We were not even told when it was safe to go back to our rooms; we just followed other guests in and when we were not stopped by the staff, we assumed it was okay to go back up to our rooms. Then there was no communication as to what happened or even an apology for the inconvenience. At the price point for this hotel, I expected the service to be a lot better.

The fire alarm went off in the entire hotel at 6:15am due to low water pressure. water in the sinks and shower had a brown tint the rest of the day. This hotel had a misleading ad by saying parking and breakfast available, $39 valet parking only and breafast for $22 each.

Unfortunate….

We booked a king room and ended up in a queen. SUPER disappointed that when I called to get it corrected, I got no response because the reception was understaffed (only 1 employee at peak check in time) and couldn’t assist me with the problem because they had a line out the door. I HIGHLY recommend the Homewood Suites on Bay Street. They would never let this happen.

The hotel was clean enough. The girl when we checked in was very rude and unpleasant to say the least!! No kindness whatsoever. We booked a room prior with a king size bed. She rudely said we don’t have that and we had to take a room with two queen beds. After paying so much we didn’t plan on paying an extra $39.99 to have them park our truck. Lesson learned, the town was beautiful but service sucked at the hotel!

Just skip it

The front desk staff was so extremely rude I didn’t even know if I wanted to stay. Asked for my name and that was the last words spoken to me. The going man in the bar was the nicest person and his attentiveness was appreciated They don’t tell you about parking other than valet, but the garage right next door was $5 for overnight. Much better deal. Will not stay here again

I did not get the room that was reserved. The hotel its self had many extremely strong smells which isn’t something that normally bothers me but gave me a bad headache. There is absolutely no self parking so your forced to use their valet service which is extremely busy and takes way to long and is additional hidden fee. Your other option is to walk a couple blocks to a paid parking garage. The elevators sound like they’re dying and kept moving up and down a little bit even with the door open. Their inspection sticker expired in April of last year. I have two extra random charges on my credit card of 140 that the receipt doesn’t specify what they are for. The staff did not inform me these charges would be happening either. Just overall the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. I really thought choosing a Mariot would atleast guarantee a good experience. Should have just stayed at a holiday inn or a Laquita for that matter. Expedia didnt help by lying out all these hidden extras that totaled 240 dollars and I was only there 2 nights. I’ll likely go direct to hotel and remove this middle man especially now that I know what you reserve through Expedia does not guarantee thats what you get. That or just use air bnb. Seems Expedia only made this experience worse. So over all 600 bucks for two nights in one of the worst hotel experience I’ve personally had. The staff was nice and the place was clean but there’s zero chance I’ll even entertain the idea of a Mariot going forward.

At night there was a noisy party on the street with drunk people in the hotel courtyard. We called twice at night, said that they were disturbing our sleep, but the managers did nothing about it.
