“Everything as advertised. In great location that allowed us to easily do everything we wanted in the Saugatuck area. Beautiful walk downtown, easy walk to The Southerner (our fave dining of the week), and it was great to have easy access to Blue Star Hwy. (Also highly recommend Pennyroyal for food/drink). The character of the house added to the enjoyment of our stay. We used almost everything available to us - grill, yard, fire pit, etc. Everything worked and was in great condition. The host, Melissa, was incredibly easy to work with. Tons of detailed and frequent communication. We didn't have to guess on a thing. Thank you, Melissa - we hope to stay at another one of your properties soon!!”

The house and property were fantastic! It was perfect for our family of 7. The house was beautiful and was stocked with everything we needed. The backyard was immaculate, with a large table, gas grill and a gas firepit! We could walk down to the middle of town in about 15 minutes. (If you've been to Saugatuck, you know that it is very difficult to find parking at times.)Our host left lists of favorite restaurants and things to do in the area, and she was easy to get in touch with. Loved it and hope to be back with our family!

Our family's home away from home!
For the second year, we spent a glorious week at the Rivercroft Cottage and our multi-generational family absolutely loves to spend our special vacation time at this lovely home. Everything we need is there: open space for relaxing, separate, more private areas to be more contemplative, a fantastic back yard for the 4-legged members in our group, an ideal location for walking into Saugatauck or making a quick drive up to visit the Felt Estate. Oval Beach is minutes away and Holland is 20 minutes up the road. Communication with our host was superb and we simply can't recommend Rivercroft Cottage enough.

Sister-Friend Weekend at Rivercroft Cottage
Rivercroft Cottage was perfect for a 4 day get away for three sisters and two sister-in-laws. We each had a lovely bedroom with comfortable beds, clean spacious bathrooms. The kitchen was the best appointed kitchen we have experienced, also very clean. The public spaces were larger, clean and well appointed. We all could very comfortably sit together in front of one of two fireplaces in either the den or living room. We experienced all varieties of spring weather on the lake in Michigan, but the house always kept us cool or warm.Easily located for a nice walk to shopping district, but could also very easily access roads to Fennville or Holland. Just a super experience and we all highly recommend. Thanks, Melissa.

Loved our stay
We loved our stay at this property and will definitely be back. Such great first floor space for a larger group with kids to spread out and have more than one family room to relax in. The bedroom situation worked great for us, as we have 3 little kids, but the 2 twin bedroom is accessed from inside the primary bedroom (with the king bed) so for some groups that may not work out great. The twin room was also extremely hot at night, even with the box fans running. That is truly our only complaint of the house as our little kids were quite warm at night. Otherwise we thought the home was perfect and will definitely book again in the future!

Perfect Place for Family Play
Our multi-generational family spends a week each summer playing on the beach in a fun town, enjoying quality time in the home we rent. This property was the perfect match for all of our criteria. The 1870 vintage home is quite lovely, but it's not pretentious or "foo foo". The comfortable home provided the backdrop for our week of pure fun and relaxation. The layout was excellent for creating space for different family units and the furnishings were very comfortable. Our family's favorite spots to tuck away and relax included the front porch with Adirondack chairs looking out upon a lovely lush yard and also the back yard which is private, beautiful, fenced in for our pups, with a wonderful fire pit for summer evenings. Melissa was extremely helpful in providing ideas for activities in the area. Her communication was timely and comprehensive. Our family of grandparents, adult kids and grand babies had a fantastic week together.
The highest recommendation: we have already booked another week next summer!

5-star Saugatuck vrbo
This was our 2nd stay at this spacious and beautiful property. The house is more than large enough for our family of 5 adults and one pet. The property is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The back yard is charming and perfectly suited for a family BBQ, we entertained a party of 8 and could have fit a few more. The location is an easy couple of minutes walk from downtown Saugatuck. Highly recommended.

Saugatuck Junket
We enjoyed the property and it’s location. The Master Suite is very nice. The other two upstairs bedrooms have to use a small hallway bathroom. The downstairs bedroom is small, with no clothes closet and the double bed has one side against the wall so if the person on the wall side need to get up for any reason the person on the other side must get up as well.
Kitchen and dining areas are very adequate and the leisure space is well placed and furnished.
The outdoor patio space is nice but is in direct sunlight most of the day.

Don’t hesitate to rent this beauty!
We just returned from a weekend stay in Saugatuck and we were incredibly impressed with this home! Beautiful hardwood floors, modernized with lots of amenities. The kitchen is stocked with anything and everything you could ever need. Our family loved to sit out back with the fenced in yard to chat and sit out front in the Adirondack chairs to watch people go by. The owner is gracious and communicative and we hope to be back. Very clean!! Don’t hesitate to rent this beauty. Tons of space and rooms for your family

Stayed for our daughter's wedding with 2 additional couples. Worked out great with everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom.
It is close to the Southerner restaurant and you can walk everywhere but I prefer to be a little bit closer to the middle of town as you don't have to walk as far.
The place was very nice, lovely backyard and front porch also. Loved the wood bannisters on the stairs.

Liking the architecture of the older updated homes
Overall, a pleasant experience.
Upstairs bathroom needs attention though.
Tub needs resurfacing and caulking, exhaust fan doesn't work, which is probably what contributes to the rust on the metal in the room as well dirt on the blinds on the window in the shower. Tub spout not properly installed and bathroom door needs bottom shaved so it doesn't drag on the floor.
