I have stayed at excellent boutique hotels throughout Europe and North America and Hotel No13 rates among the best.
The staff is warm, knowledgeable and accommodating. Alex, at the front desk was especially pleasant.
My junior suite was spacious comfortable and beautifully decorated. I am not one who tends to notice interior decorating, but I certainly did here. The use of bold colors without overdoing it made the room feel especially nice. It was also nice having a balcony.
The breakfast spread was outstanding. They served virtually anything you could hope to have for breakfast in a dining room that was small, but not at all crowded. I enjoyed my morning meal in what felt like my own private breakfast nook.
I found two excellent nearby restaurants with the help of the front desk clerk’s recommendations.
The hotel is perfectly located. It’s on the main shopping square. It’s steps away from the tram station. It’s less than a five minute walk to the fish market and Bryggen. I walked to the train station with a suitcase in just eight minutes.
If I find myself back in Bergen I will most definitely stay at No13 again and will request a room 402.
