Worst hotel stay ever

When I arrived the place was locked shut. Nobody about. When they finally arrived the lady, after asking my name started "you have no reservation " I showed my passport so she could see my name, but then started waving her arms about and shouting "NO RESERVATION, NO RESERVATION ". Thats the first time ever thats happened at check-in. At this point her partner appeared, and found my reservation in 30 seconds. Unfortunately I'd booked half board. Dinner was abysmal. A slice of pizza as starter. Mixed vegetables and a few bits of grilled gammon. I was only given one option for each. Breakfast was even worse. The table was present with one croissant, a small glass of orange juice and 3 bits of bread. I had to borrow the butter from the next table and go and find someone for a coffee. I couldn't get out of the place fast enough.

My wife and I stayed one night on a motorcycle trip. The staff tried hard to welcome us even our French wasn’t very good. The evening meal was also very good. Our only niggle is that despite an heat wave the bar/cafe still didn’t open until 6.30pm and there were no other facilities in the village.

Hotel bien, service bien, restauration à revoir
