We travel quite frequently, and this is probably one of the best hotels we have stayed. The rooms are spacious , beautiful, professional ambiance and great for a business meeting.

This hotel is shockingly dirty and tired. For a place that charges premium rates per night, the stained carpets everywhere makes it feel nearly third world. Additionally, the hotel made a mistake on my booking and claimed I wasn’t allowed to stay the full nights I had reserved! They forced me to remove my luggage while I searched for another hotel as I was staying in Sarasota for another two days. Unable to find accomodations, I had to change my flight and had to leave earlier than anticipated. Then, the hotel desk informed me they had made a mistake and indeed I was able to stay more nights but at that point I had already changed my flight plans. This hotel literally ruined my trip to Sarasota!

The hotel has no signs to direct you to elevators. The amenities are poorly explained. This hotel will never have a towel stolen unless you want to grate cheese with them, they will take your skin right off.

We booked and paid for a room with two queen beds. We were put in a room with one queen bed and told there were no rooms with two queen beds available. No one at the front desk told us that they had changed our booking. They just put us in the room without saying anything. We initially agreed to a discount of $50. We then opened the sofa bed and realized that the mattress was in really bad shape. We then asked to cancel and get a full refund. I spoke to the Director of Front Office in person, and he approved a full refund. He said we would receive the refund within five days. It has been nearly two weeks, and we have not received a refund. Additionally, the hotel was a mess and cramped. The windows and hallways were dirty. Do not book this hotel.

Frigid AC &water pressure issues

This embassy suites property is new, very gorgeous views of the water & city and a very modern hotel &very roomy king suite, but with that being said there should not be a problem with the AC in the rooms or with the water pressure in the showers let alone the handheld shower did not work at all and actually fell apart in my hands onto the floor of the shower. I easily snapped it all back together but it still did not work. The AC of the rooms was not controllable even though there was a thermostat in the room that said it was 80, it was freezing cold in there the entire 24 hours probably stuck at about 65°. I being a woman of short stature and only weigh 100, i could not easily slide the barn style bathroom door back and forth. I'd say those need to be replaced on smoother rollers that roll more easily. I have them in my home and I do not have this issue at all. I am a Floridian and I love my AC but this was beyond my comfort level for sleeping. Thank goodness there was a blanket in the closet for both my husband and I to feel more comfortable. The on-site parking was convenient and free breakfast was spectacular! The staff at the front desk was also superb upon check in and check out.. they even credited my $40 parking rate for the inconveniences.
