I expected much more for the price we paid for our room. Apparently the hotel sells many guest passes to the pool, so the place is overrun. The pool is incredibly crowded (including with kids, so this isn't a great place if you're having an adult vacation). They are understaffed, and customer service really suffers. It's a very cool spot and would be a great stay if they could get their act together to prioritize guest experience.

It was a wonderful weekend but getting ice and drinkable water was challenging. It’s the perfect spot for young loud families!

Customer service was lacking. They were “out” of multiple things food/drink wise throughout the entire weekend. Told without even a simple sorry. Just “we’re out of that”. A sorry would have gone a long way. For a facility that large that wants to be recognized for its outdoor space & pool area the hot tub is tiny & a total dud. Also so incredibly loud late on Friday night-into Saturday am. For the amount that they charge a night I can’t believe they don’t do better/more/try a little harder. Overall fairly disappointed. Not worth the money at all.

The building where we stayed is badly in need of renovations. Low ceiling on stairs is very hazardous. My husband hit his head going down. Carpets especially in hallways are filthy and smell. The carpets in the room need replacing or deep cleaning. Our bathroom was not cleaned during house keeping hours.

Over-promosed and under-delivered

Despite having booked (and paid for) a King room for my wife and I, they over sold the hotel and stuck us in a room with two micro beds. And unlike Ricky and Lucy, we couldn't even push them together. The hotel is fun and very Insta-riffic but pull back the sheets and most of it is old and not well maintained, as evidenced by the damaged walls and chipping paint, stained carpets and general lack of quality and care due a hotel in this price tier. There's one restaurant and bar, which was fine, and one main pool, which is also fine for the families (read: kids). Overall, Santa Rosa is a great town and the hotel has promise but sadly The Flamingo under-delivers. To be fair, they did give a credit for the room downgrade but only after the dissatisfaction was expressed to mgmt.
