Our stay at Il Gatto Rosso Adults Only started very positively. The welcome was warm and friendly, and we had a beautiful beachfront room with a private terrace. The bed had a mosquito net and the room was spacious enough. In the evenings it was also reasonably quiet, with no party noise. However, we stayed three nights and barely slept. The bedroom was extremely hot. There is no air conditioning — only fans — which simply circulate warm air. With temperatures above 30°C, proper cooling is truly necessary. There was also no refrigerator, which would have been very helpful in this climate. Even with the windows open at night, the room did not cool down, and because of the heat we slept poorly to not at all. What made it worthwhile was the incredible sunrise. You walk straight onto the beach and are rewarded with one of the most beautiful sunrises imaginable. If the hotel invested in air conditioning, this could honestly be a very good place to stay.
