Our second time there. The staff are terrific. The food was disappointing. The Italian restaurant was a very big let down compared to our previous visit and the buffet was also sub par. The options provided were very limited and not appealing at all.

Everything is good - especially the entertainments are excellent. The nightly shows are beyond expectation. What I don't like is the limit of reservation at the restaurants as we stayed one week but can only enjoy food at the restaurant 2 times, the rest of the week we have to eat at the buffet. Beach is good but deep, you can't swim without a life vest. Pool is nice but if a jacuzzi is available would be great. Thanks!

The landscape and beach was amazing. The buffet food was limited options and very small. Also didn’t like that the kids are split up in the pool because of the swim up bar. The accommodations of at restaurants was not good if you had big parties as they want to split you up all the time. The japanesse restaurant has 4 tables. The Italian restaurant was very good, and the Mexican was good.

This was my first solo travel trip in years and I wanted a destination that made me feel safe and welcome. The hotel staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself is great and has everything you need for a good stay. They have the food, the drinks, the entertainment. There’s nothing else to ask for! It's a great location, and we had a nice room. Having only 3 restaurants to eat in for a week is difficult. The food in the Tortuga pool house for lunch was at best, ok. At times the hot food was not hot at all. I can't eat a lot of uncooked food when traveling.

This was our first time staying at a Barcelo, and first time in Huatulco. We upgraded our room to Premium Level as we wanted a view of the ocean. The room was very spacious, with lots of storage space! The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was a good size. There is coffee in the room and a small fridge that was stocked with beverages and snacks. There is a small safe in the room (too small for laptop or iPad). Our room also had robes and slippers. The pool temperatures were lovely, as was the ocean! The beach is quiet, sandy, beautiful. We ate at the Mexican restaurant once and the Italian twice - both were fabulous. We were lucky enough to have Victor as our server at both - he was great! Omar at the main buffet was also wonderful. We were also very impressed with the quality and freshness of the food at the buffets; there were lots of options (and vegetarian options) - absolutely no complaints regarding the food. Every night there was a show at their theatre and often some live music in the lobby bar area before the nightly show. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
