Room was in good condition and the property has lots of cute outdoor sitting areas including one for our room. The front desk didn’t have any room keys available so I had to download an app to get into the room which was a whole process with emails and verification codes. I would have much preferred a simple room key. Free parking onsite

Front desk is unstaffed most of the day so if you have issues like connecting to the wifi you will be out of luck. Rooms were averagely clean- didn’t have the attention to basic details like setting the time on the alarm clock or microwave. Hotel seemed empty but put me in a room closest to the Main Street so it was noisy all night. $25 fee for lost room keys (rfid card that probably cost less then a dollar a piece) seemed ridiculous to me.

Sheets were dirty. Front desk had to come to change them. One curtain was missing so my window was uncovered. There was no closet. So not even a place to hang up my jacket. Shower was dirty. If you put your fingers by the ledge, it was black. $254 dollars a night. Was a rip off. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

Best thing is the location! Very walkable to stores and walking trail. Cute aesthetics. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and warm. Sadly a lot of flaws added up. Front desk was rarely there. We only saw them at check in. You have to call them if you need them. Breakfast was very meh. Got slightly better with more guests. Maybe better to just eat elsewhere. No warm food or fruit- just drinks, cereal, pastries, bread. Waffles were available with more guests but the waffle maker was old and NOT nonstick even if you spray it with oil. Mix just got stuck, so it was unusable anyway. Room 8 bathroom door couldn’t close, the door and frame were misaligned so you have to block it with a towel on the floor to close it slightly for privacy. Most disappointing thing is we paid more for a suite with a jacuzzi and the jacuzzi didn’t even work. We had to call (No front desk) to ask what was wrong. They said it was broken and so were 2 other room jacuzzis and they said someone should’ve told us when we checked in. No apologies and no one told us at check in. No refund or new room was offered. I would have rather saved money on a normal room. I hope they can at least offer a partial refund. Very cute place but such a waste if they don’t step it up to improve these fixable issues. Not sure if we’d book again.

Staffing at the front desk is spotty. Continental breakfast was bad with bagged pastries. There were no spoons or bowls for the hot oatmeal. There were no more hot cups for coffee or tea. There's no excuse for running out of paper or utensil supplies - just sloppy & inattentiveness. Why bother even offering breakfast if the guests can't eat it?

Location of property was good. Convenient walk to shops and restaurants. The Chantico Inn management of the property is very poor. During my stay there was only one person present on the property doing everything: running front desk, setting up continental breakfast, cleaning rooms, doing laundry. Whenever we needed help, she was not easily found. We had to call someone off the premise to intervene.
