On arrival the welcome was warm. All the staff were efficient, attentive, professional and friendly. The room was very comfortable and spotless, with complimentary water and plenty of space. There was a patio with chairs and a table and the most wonderful views of the mountains - this was not used much due to the snow! The restaurant provided us with exceptional breakfasts - both hot and cold options, fruit, nuts, yoghurts, meats, the most amazing scrambled eggs, fresh honeycomb, juices (including a make your own option) - totally stunning. The evening meals were equally wonderful. The spa was the cherry on the cake - a steam room and sauna plus relaxation area with complimentary fruit/herbal teas, water, snacks and again the wonderful views - in better weather there was a hot tub available. Overall a great hotel, great staff and a wonderful place to unwind and relax.

Away from the centre of the village, surrounded by mountains, we had a lovely view from our balcony of a field with donkeys grazing and a small chapel at the far end of the valley. It is quite a hike from the hotel to the lake. If you’re a hiker, then this is the place for you. The dinner was expensive and mediocre. I do not recommend the half-board plan. Breakfast was okay, very limited choices. They benefit from the high tourist numbers obviously reflected in the limited value for money equation.
