Good value for money

Fairly minimalistic, good value for money, pleasant proprietors. The location is OK - 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach. When we checked out they provided continental breakfast early. Overall, I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The Hotel advertised a king sized room and bed neither were there, unless you were a dwarf. Furniture very dated and worn, shower room very small. Would not stay there again

The room was very small, Small wash room,The tele was very small,very tiny kettle, no tea bags, coffee Just two small mag cups without a spoon and the stand the kettle was horrible. Its not a hotel standard.

Sandhill Hotel was a nice experience for us, lovely breakfast, friendly staff and in a great location just a short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay thanks to Dave, Andy, Wendy and Mike. They were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The hotel is in a quiet location less than 10 mins walk to the beach. It has a comfortable bar and does a delicious cooked breakfast. Our room was basic but had all that we needed, including well-stocked teas/coffees and a powerful shower. We would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Disappointed with contact - no comment on stay

I booked this and within the hour I was notified that my staff could not attend the site they are working on the IOW due to Covid tests being positive for other staff. I contacted Hotels.com via webchat as there was no phone available at that time. I was put through an automated system and was told I would be put through to an agent. After half an hour of waiting I gave up. I was able to speak to someone the next day at Hotels.com and due to language difficulties they did not understand the reasons for the change and what had taken place. It appears that companies can chop and change our requests and needs at the drop of a hat due to Covid but this does not work both ways. The hotel said they would not refund as it was 24 hours later. They obviously had not been told I tried to cancel within the hour and the reasons for the cancellation. I am very disappointed with this. We have had several contractors on the IOW for a long period of time.

Travelling on foot. straight from London staying on the Isle of Wight I was close to station and front, very friendly welcome although my journey was delayed. Room was small but fine, sitting room and small bar and conservatory available and comfortable. Plenty of advice, leaflets and bus schedule available, all of which made my stay most interesting and enjoyable. Thank you very much.
