Liked property, very clean and comfortable. Staff very nice and helpful, except for one incident . Very comfortable room. One night, a man tried to get into our room, he was trying his key, but it wasn’t working. We could hear him. Told him we were in there, he said it was his room, I said no, we have been here a few days. Tried to call front desk, no answer from hotel phone, tried guest services, busy. Called on cell phone, either my phone hung up or the hotel hung up after several minutes of ringing. Called back again and immediately heard “hold music”. Held for several minutes, then hung up. After that, felt very unsafe, not knowing if front desk would pick up in the future. Decided I would call 911 if there was a future emergency. Reported incident to assistant manager, she was very concerned about incident.

Excellent stay

Excellent day from the time you check in to the time you leave that is a beautiful hotel. I would recommend everybody to stay there. It is a really nice hotel family friendly love it.

2 floor rooms are front of the housekeeper and maintenance offices. Super noise all day. Ac won’t cool down Water never gets hot Bathroom is rust everywhere Even the disable parking permit need to pay $17 a night for park when Virginia disable people park for free.!

The location is amazing being right on the boardwalk. The room was very clean and the housekeeping services were very good. The front desk was also very helpful. The hallways and elevators could have been more kept up, but overall the condition was great. The fitness center is a rack of hand weights and 3 treadmills, just fyi. Also, the "restaurant" is very limited. There would probably be a better value staying at a comparable spot that has an included breakfast.

Hotels.Com Review System Cannot Be Trusted

Dear Hotels.com Support, I am extremely disappointed with your repeated rejection of my honest and factual review of Courtyard by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront/South. Despite revising my review to ensure compliance with your guidelines, it was still rejected without any specific explanation beyond a generic list of possible issues. At this point, it is difficult not to conclude that Hotels.com is more concerned with protecting hotel reputations than allowing guests to share their real experiences. If legitimate complaints about critical issues—such as a hotel shutting off water to an entire building or losing power during the night—are deemed unfit for publication, then your review system cannot be trusted as a reliable source for travelers. By filtering out negative but honest feedback, Hotels.com misleads customers who rely on reviews to make informed booking decisions. This practice undermines the very purpose of a review platform and raises serious concerns about the integrity of the information displayed on your site. If Hotels.com is unwilling to allow transparency in reviews, I will make sure to share my experience elsewhere and advise others to seek more trustworthy platforms for booking accommodations. I expect a clear explanation as to why my review was rejected and what specific part of my content violated your policies.

Very clean room. Beautiful view of the Ocean. Spacious room. Comfortable Bed. Parking is limited and finding the garage at night was difficult.
