Lovely hotel (1917) that has obviously been upgraded a few times yet still maintain its historic feel. It’s lots of wood and decorative architectural elements that add real charm. Plenty of parking, not only along the hotel but there is a multi level garage as well. Bathroom is good sized, with an exterior additional sink (and the mini fridge) in that alcove. Standard closet with iron and board. No microwave tho, which we could have used. Bed (king) comfortable, with a lovely view out the bay windows. A pair of comfortable chairs with a table between. Room fairly spacious. Everything clean and in order. Pool and jacuzzi behind hotel on the ground floor. Pool looked fine, but hot tub tepid and the jets didn’t work. Quite disappointing. The write up indicates there is a “pillow menu” but the front desk staff had no idea what it was. (Someone should update their info!) When we’re up in Central California we would definitely stay here again.

We loved the idea of staying in an iconic hotel full of history and old world glamour. However with that comes the inconvenience of all mod comes. Our Gloria Swanson suite was charming but very shabby and it felt as the historic part of the hotel needed a bit more love and care, but of course that takes money and lots of it. It didn't detract from us having a great time. The staff were professional, especially Tim in the bar who suggested great dining choices and played the best sounds.

After a long day on the road we were able to unwind with some playtime with the dog on a mostly enclosed lawn and grab some salads to bring up to the room from the onsite restaurant. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were super friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.

I went to plug in my iPad and I found an outlet by the headboard and it was very dirty and had not been clean in months. The furniture was very dusty. But the bathroom was clean

The staff was very accommodating and helpful and even supplied a microwave when we asked. The hotel is old and there is a smell mostly around the elevators but our room was huge. We enjoyed the hot tub everyday. There was never anyone at the pool but it was September so that was nice. We ate at several of the local restaurants and even enjoyed a street fair with delicious authentic food! I would stay here again.
