Had a problem initially with check-in at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.But that was only due to the fact that there was a big party prior and they were having problems having the guest checkout.But the gentleman upgraded me to a sweet that had a Jacuzzi for one night and everything was fine.Thank you very much

Gross. Hot tubs/jaquizzis not hot. Chipped porcelain in shower tub…didn’t want to slice my foot open on it. Water sprayed out from faucet in bathroom sink EVERYWHERE. Had to unplug the coffee machine cause the water wouldn’t stop running. Oh, and the curtain rods wouldn’t fully shut the curtains, and one rod just fell off completely. Gross breakfast, runny eggs. I rarely leave a bad review but damn. This was bad.

Checkout was at noon, I gave my room key to the concierge at 11 and waited in the lobby for my roommate. When he came down at 11:20 they would not let us use the airport shuttle due to a technicality that we already checked out. I’m sorry but that just seems absurd. The concierge should know what the rules are and explain them clearly, not just treat us like we are total strangers. Also the jacuzzis have cold water.

The hotel is old and very dated. I understand you get what you pay for but I am surprised by the ratings this place received. I don’t think any updates have been done in thirty+ years. The mattress was like sleeping on a box spring. On a positive the staff was friendly.

So we stepped back into the 1970s when entering this hotel. While lobby was new the rest of the hotel was dated. When getting our room and pulled down the bed. The sheets were stained. We were upgraded to a newer room but yet we were now in the 80s. The bathroom was appalling with handles falling off in the shower and the toilet. I could go on and on just stay away. The next morning we were shocked the amount of people checking in... If they only knew.

The hotel is big and clean. It has 3 pools. What we loved most is the huge bedroom. We had a separate living room which was also big. The bathroom was good size. The water pressure was strong. The air conditioner in the bedroom had a separate control from the living room. Staff was friendly. There is a casino and a restaurant. Free shuttle service to and from the SJO airport. Free breakfast available too. We had to leave before they started serving so they packed us a sandwich, juice, water, apple and cupcake which was nice.

I hate writing this review because the staff there are exceptional. This is the 8th and last time I will stay. Most of the outlets didn’t work, the tv wouldn’t switch off the hotel announcements. The shower was useless. Not only did I have to kneel to get under the very low shower head, there was absolutely zero water pressure. I ended up just jumping in the pool to finish washing my hair. Not what I expect of a Wyndham

Hotel needs updating, including the pool. Phones in rooms not working, no hot water in some rooms. Food around pool served cold. Ordered onion rings and received 6. Ordered chips for the guacamole and received maybe 10 chips. Worst of all, I booked the honeymoon suite 3 months in advace and had confirmation. When I wanted to check and make sure everything was in order for my daughter's arrival, the hotel could not find the reservation. And the room was already booked for another couple. We had multiple rooms with a total of 35+ nights. The manager wanted to charge me more for a different room for the bride and groom. After waiting 2 hours and multiple discussions he final gave them a suite for a minimal upcharge. Thank goodness I checked ahead. Unacceptable all around! PS: The front entrance bellman were outstanding!
