More Fawlty Towers than Holiday from Hell!
Nice Hotel, nice friendly staff, particularly a young Moroccan waiter who spoke the best English and provided excellent bar service and a few laughs. Hotel spotlessly clean in all areas - both public and bedrooms. Room we had was small and adequate but bathroom required contortionist skills to get in the shower as you had to get over the loo to get in it................provided us with loads of laughs and no serious injuries. Air conditioning worked well but could be a bit noisy at times but nothing keeps me awake after sea air and a couple of beers. Biggest problem was the smell of drains which occasionally wafted through and I genuinely don't think this was down to the hotel as the smell on occasion permeated the whole town....................we got used to it and most locals did not seem to notice so perhaps just us being picky

Great budget hotel
Having showed us to our room we complained that the double bed was very small so, without hesitation, we were given an alternative room that was more to our Liking. For the money this was a very good hotel with aircon in bedroom, and very comfy beds.

Hotel Madrid short stay
For the money this was good value. However there was a terrible smell through the whole trip in our room (sewers/drains) The towels smelt of foist so we couldn’t use them. I asked for another pillow as there was only one and was told by the receptionist he did not have access to any. Luckily our room was just to sleep in and nothing else so it was fine, I used my towels to make my one pillow higher and also used my beach towels to shower with. Besides that the room was as fine, if had no a/c but I knew that before hand. The room was small but adequate for what I needed. It did have great WiFi though.
