Would have liked a kettle in the room as 'Er Indoors likes a cup of tea abd it seems to be beyond the Italian staff to make one properly. Otherwise all was well and the hotel was close to the motorways so it was easy to get to all patts of Sicily. We stayed several extra days as we liked the hotel.

Beautiful and clean

So special and warm people with great attitude and friendly , the food it was really good and wine ofcourse , I will be back soon on June 2016 to have more expreance there , please make sure rent a car there because definitely you need car to check the city

Ares Hotel was a perfect jumping off place for our trip around Sicily. Very easy to get to Mount Etna the next day. The staff was very helpful. Nice dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Ares hotel

Clean, nice people, but bed was terribly pumping, and the room smelled. Breakfast was good with perfect service. The hotel is quite hard to find without GPS even if it is closed to the highway.

Great Hotel

While you do need a car as location is several km from Catania, view of Mt Etna from dining room was fantastic. WiFi codes don't work but they let me check my email with their computer. Staff were great, breakfast was plentiful, and the furnishings throughout the hotel were beautiful. We liked it so much we booked 2 more nights. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent hotel for a very reasonable rate

Excellent hotel for travelers that come to town by car. Free parking in hotel. Close to main highway giving easy access to nearby towns like Taormina, Siracusa, Noto, etc. Free Internet in lounge is not that fast but works well enough for email and web surfing. Good restaurant for dinner for a very convenient fixed price per person for hotel guests. Complete complimentary breakfast. Large well decorated lounge with possibility of use of private meeting rooms.Staff has always been very helpful giving suggestions about trips and conveniences such as where can I get good fruit. Order in pizza, etc. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Beds are firm. Shower is a little bit tight but has an abundant flow of hot water. Quiet area without intrusive traffic sound. I came to stay three days and ended up staying in the hotel for six days.

Perfect for Etna!

This hotel is the perfect location if you are just in the Catania region to climb Etna and have hired a car. It is on the outskirts of Catania in a suburban area (which is reminiscent of Australian suburbs!) and is right near the main road to Etna. A few minutes from Catania for dinner and right at the foothills of Etna. The breakfast room is also situated with a beautiful view of Etna and the beautiful surrounding countryside. The double room we booked was quite basic, but had everything needed. The en-suite bathroom likewise. All in all though would definitely stay here again.

Der Service war sehr schlecht. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass wir als Expedia-Kunde besonders unerwünscht waren. Das Zimmer war voller Schimmel, vermutlich von einem Wasserschaden. Da das Hotel fast vollkommen leer war, hätte es mit Sicherheit auch ein weniger schlechtes Zimmer gegeben. Das Frühstück war auch eher dürftig, der Kellner benahm sich an der Grenze zur Höflichkeit. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war ok, einfach aber gut zu fairen Preisen.

Albergo da me utilizzato più volte, ma nel tempo sta deteriorandosi, ha necessità di una ristrutturazione, lo staff è molto cortese e disponibile, i prezzi sono molto bassi e la posizione vicino autostrada e tangenziale e l'ampio parcheggio gratuito lo rendono parecchio comodo per chi viaggia in auto

Mediamente scarso

Le camere sono molto semplici e non troppo pulite, le tende ad es. erano veramente sporche. Ma il peggio si è presentato a colazione, tutt'altro che continentale. Alle 9:20 non c'era niente da mangiare e dietro nostra richiesta di integrare il buffet hanno portato qualche fetta di pancarrè e 7 fettine di prosciutto. Il tostapane era in condizioni pessime quindi non potevi farti neanche un toast da quanto era sporco.dopo hanno portato anche qualche cornetto ma ci hanno detto di non prenderne più di uno a testa. Insomma siamo andati via e abbiamo fatto colazione in un bar spettacolare degno della bella e accogliente Sicilia, al contrario dell'hotel in questione.
