I would have given this property 10/10 but the smoke detector in my room kept beeping from 12:00am-3:00am! And there was no-one to contact! Other than that, the hotel is charming, with a definite 50’s vibe. Very charming. But folks, fix that blinkin’ smoke alarm!!!

Very clean and comfortable. The only complaint we had, was that there were no mini fridges and that in one of our rooms (we booked two for the family) we could not get the Tennis Channel, while in the other, we could. The front desk could not help resolve, or explain why… so a little strange! Other than that, we were very satisfied and would definitely stay there again!

The best-sleeping pillow and mattress. There are so many restaurants within easy walking distance. Upscale in a small-package hotel. Professional staff. Free, safe parking on site. Try Isa's French restaurant next door. The Plate is excellent for breakfast or brunch. These are so close, they share a wall with the hotel, if I remember correctly. Mel's Diner is across the street.

The property was basic but had a cute vibe. It was clean. However, I would never return because in the middle of the night my room smoke detector went off. No one responded so I called the front desk and was told to let them know if it happened again. It was evident this was commonplace from her response. It did happen again and wouldn’t stop so the staff came and removed it from my room altogether. Not very reassuring! The next morning I reminded the front desk staff of the incident to make sure it was on their maintenance list. The staff was really dismissive, never apologized for the disruption and said, “Yeah, well stuff happens.” Yikes. It was an unsettling inconvenience and felt unsafe amd the whole thing was worse because of the staff’s nastiness.
