We stayed at this hotel for the second year in a row because of our girls playing at the volleyball tournament at the San Mateo event center. A few moms are downstairs, eating and having a cocktail when some of those other moms went downstairs to join them. It was about 920 and I tried to order from the bar and she told me that she was closed. This is on a Saturday night with a packed hotel room with lots of volleyball parents. The moms we sat down with said that she said she was gonna close early and have them do last call around 9 o’clock. Then about 20 minutes later so about 940 a couple walked up to the bar sits down and she serves them after telling me that she was closed. If she decided to reopen, she should’ve walked over and offered a beverage to us Moms who were turned down about 20 minutes ago. This is absolutely rude and uncalled for. I’m not sure why she decided to close early, but the fact that she did all of this in front of us and didn’t even apologize and offer us a beverage is rude. I’m not sure if I will return and the entire group of the volleyball moms either. So maybe next time the server behind the bar could treat everybody equally because there’s no need for her to refuse to serve us, but then serve another couple shortly after.
