the hotel is gorgeous. staff was amazing. valet was quick and professional. They filled us in on how to use the cable cars in San Francisco and what app to download to buy our tickets. I appreciated the personal attention.

Elegant, great views, comfortable beds, super clean. But the best part are the gracious, professional people who staff this hotel. They love their hotel and their city and that makes staying here a special experience. All of the services that were provided by higher end hotels that went missing during covid, can be found here. Doorman, valet, bellman, well staffed front desk, complimentary morning coffee. I don't remember the last time we stayed somewhere where we felt 'taken care of', to this level. There is a proper bar that seems to be popular with locals in addition to a hotel bar. A great restaurant with room service, the list goes on. The location is the best ever and you can hear the California cable car tracks buzz and the bell ringing.
