The house is a 1970s era (I think) split level in a rather dense but safe and well maintained neighborhood overlooking South San Francisco. The pool is a selling point in the description but it turns out that we didn't use it, in part because the access for guests requires going out the front door, down the steps, and around the side of the house. It appears that there is an inside approach but renters are not permitted to use it. The kitchen appears to have been renovated recently; the space itself as well as the appliances are very nice but it was short on equipment needed for cooking (as opposed to resorting to Doordash for the entire stay). I have alerted Juan, the helpful neighborhood liaison, about this and I suspect that the shortcoming will be fixed before the next guests arrive.There were a few other opportunities for improvement that we have let the owner/staff know about. On the positive side, the family had great fun with the pool table in lieu of the pool....
