The balcony was facing the wall of another building, the fireplace didn’t work, someone had to come light it, the bed was concave. The room was spacious and the hotel was beautiful.

The hotel was great and in a great location to walk to many restaurants and great neighborhood spots. The staff was excellent and the rooms were really nice. Note the one issue we had was, because we were facing a popular intersection it was very loud outside on weekend nights all through the night. The staff was very accommodating and relocated us without any trouble to a quieter room. Just keep in mind if you are staying over a weekend night you may want an interior room to keep the noise out at night.

our room#406 had a bad odor of gas and in the evening we were relocated to room 409.It eas not only inconvenient but my wife had to go outside the room to get some fresh air. Not a good experience!

We had an amazing experience from the moment we got there! The front desk recepcionist, (maybe her name was Addy?) upgraded us to an AMAZING suite and we were so impressed. Mr. Ivy gave us several recommendations in the area, too. We will definitely stay here again when in San Diego!

Historical boutique hotel with beautiful rooms with balconies. Daily room service; an excellent restaurant on the property named "Salt and Whiskey". Their Whiskey burger is the best burger that I've eaten in the US or international. It's huge and loaded but the bar drinks were weak. Horton Grand is surrounded by a plethora of walkable fine eateries, shopping and entertainment venues in the famous Gaslamp Quarter. The beach is a few blocks, the airport is 10 - 15 minutes max. The hotel staff is attentive and friendly. My stay was a memorable experience.
