Balcony view of street and other buildings. Bed too high and not in position to see/enjoy fireplace. There was a “bridge” walkway between buildings that required walking in uncovered area. Website stated restaurant and happy hour available daily. Thursday night upon arrival it was closed.

We had an amazing experience from the moment we got there! The front desk recepcionist, (maybe her name was Addy?) upgraded us to an AMAZING suite and we were so impressed. Mr. Ivy gave us several recommendations in the area, too. We will definitely stay here again when in San Diego!

Historical boutique hotel with beautiful rooms with balconies. Daily room service; an excellent restaurant on the property named "Salt and Whiskey". Their Whiskey burger is the best burger that I've eaten in the US or international. It's huge and loaded but the bar drinks were weak. Horton Grand is surrounded by a plethora of walkable fine eateries, shopping and entertainment venues in the famous Gaslamp Quarter. The beach is a few blocks, the airport is 10 - 15 minutes max. The hotel staff is attentive and friendly. My stay was a memorable experience.

The room was amazing. Very clean! The bed was so comfortable. Unfortunately, our shower did not work. It would not pressurize. So we moved rooms. That shower did work but the bed was inverted. With one more room change, they nailed it! Great experience. That is why I only gave four stars. The bar Salt and Whiskey is also great! Enjoy!

The facility is amazing- tons of history and architectural stunning detail. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great right in the heart of the Gaslamp District. The hotel room itself we stayed in was a little dated and in need of a 're-fresh' (not sure if other rooms or other areas of the hotel are as dated). However, I would definitely stay here again and will likely be my go to the next time I'm in San Diego.

Enjoyable stay at the Horton grand. Great location in the Gas Lamp district. 5 min walk to convention center as well as numerous places to eat and enjoy. Would highly recommend and will stay there on my next visit to San Diego. I didn't eat in the Hotel so cannot rate that.
