I was not overly impressed by the evening front desk staff. It was late, but there wasn’t a friendly greeting, the manager was short and fairly rude about the hotel policy for payment.

Upon arriving we found that one of the rooms we reserved had not been adequately cleaned. There was marijuana on the floor along with a blood pressure pill. Both were easily accessible to a small child. I complained to the front desk & they said to email the manager because they couldn’t do anything. I sent an email asking for a call back, nothing. I followed up at the front desk again & sent a second email, still nothing. In addition, they did not provide cleaning service in the other room we had reserved during our stay. I even called to speak to a manager once I got home & they were unavailable & did not return my call. It’s completely unacceptable how they run this hotel.

The staff members I connected with on 1/31 and 2/1 were so helpful. The desk clerk promptly came to our room to solve our television connection problem. The morning cafe attendant was so helpful.

The breakfast tasted like it was old. The area was clean, and the staff was friendly. Our room was supposed to be handicapped only thing handicap. There was the toilet. The bed was 12 inches off the ground which for an older person that has handicap as ridiculous. this is the first time at this hotel I won’t be back.

Carla at the front was very professional, kind and accommodating. Sweet and personal. Breakfast was cold. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. We've stayed at Holiday Inn Express many times before without any issues. This was the first time we had a bad experience.
