Nice View , Nice pool although pool furniture is old and needs to be replaced. Excelent breakfast. Shower temperature was really hard to control . Air conditioning works well but fan is too noisy . Staff is very attentive at reception and restaurant. Hotel is in need of a renovation as it is beginning to show signs of time .

Hotel common areas and rooms are in excellent condition. The breakfast buffet is really great and pool area phenomenal. Only down side was the shower controls for hot water were quite unpredictable. Scalding hot or tepid cold...you need to turn dial almost fully cool then wait 2 minutes before adjusting it a litttle...then get in the shower. Super slick shower tiles....kind of like standing on black ice so we were all very careful. We had 5 rooms for our group and each guest reported same issue so perhaps the hotel can get the plumbing checked. Otherwise a really great stay.

The hotel looks new with a great pool overlooking the ocean and near the beach. The hotel restaurant had great foodfor breakfast and dinner - delicious moquecas. The service was great. This was the best place we’ve stayed in Salvador.

Hotel sujo, velho, fedorento. Corredor fede mofo. Quarto fede mofo, sujo, mal conservado. O banheiro então nem se fala, sem manutenção e uma limpeza adequada há anos. O cheiro da roupa de cama nem se fala… Se não tivesse a bandeira Mercure passaria facilmente por um hotel medíocre de beira de estrada.

Exceptionally poor customer service. Lack of communication. The original Apple iPhone charger was not located in the outlet. When I contacted the hotel, they failed to respond as well as locate the charger. Many excuses have been provided, there has been a lack of communication, and the matter has been handled in an unprofessional manner. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLE ITEMS IN YOUR room. Be careful not to rely on this staff to locate a personal item, since you will never be able to retrieve it.
