Come and enjoy a fun packed vacation visit to Maplecrest at Lake Jocassee right next to Devils Fork State Park in the mystic Cherokee Foothills of the South Carolina. Recognized by National Geographic Magazine as a waterfall paradise. Our well kept vacation rental is a true all seasons 4 bedroom 2 bath home that offers wonderful year-round accommodations for up to 8 guests. The house is located on a secluded 2 acre private property with woodland views / large front & screen porches / full kitchen / gas BBQ grill / outdoor deck dining / campfire ring and activity field / Free WIFI. We are exactly 1 mile from the Devils Fork State Park Boat Launch & Swimming Area and have a large parking area for both your boat trailer and other vehicles. Although we are not a lakefront property, our location is extremely peaceful and quiet away from the busy and noisy daily road traffic to Lake Jocassee at the Main Park Entrance ! Guests love that we offer easy (2 minute) back entrance access to the Lake boat ramps and is one of the most convenient locations to area restaurants , food stores, boat rentals and waterfall tour boats. Children always welcome and a well behaved pets are considered. From our nicely equipped kitchen to our comfy beds and tranquil woodland surroundings. The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
UNPLUG SMALL APPLIANCES / wash dishes / Stove / Oven / BBQ grill shall be left in a clean condition. Refrigerator emptied / cleaned. All trash bagged and placed in outside storage shed containers.
All litter and pet waste must be picked up from the outside areas and placed in trash cans secured in trash bags. Campfire ring emptied of cold ashes. Hose rolled up and water turned off at spigot,
Windows and doors closed and locked. Thermostat set to 78 degrees Summer / 60 degrees Winter. Leave the (2) house keys on fireplace mantle(1) key in lockbox, Security Alarm System to be armed AWAY.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

It truly was a wonderful experience. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well stocked. The front porch and back screened porch were my favorite places to sit. Very peaceful and beautiful. Host did a great job with communication and making our family feel welcomed. Definitely will be back.

This is an ideal located property for Lake Jocasse. Very fully stocked kitchen with any pots/pans or dishes you would need. So nice to have washer and dryer and detergent and dryer sheets were provided. Really enjoyed the screened in porch.

Listing had a few things that were not the way it actually was. The fourth bedroom is in the basement and the bed is a futon couch made into a double bed where the listing said it was a double bed. The property grounds were not well maintained and the outside of the house had a lot of cobwebs. The beds and bedding were not comfortable at all. The listing also says it is a one minute walk to the lake and five minutes to Devils Fork State Park, it is much further then that and you will not want to walk to the lake as the road does not have walk or bike path. The owner was very responsive. This house needs TLC inside and out.

Very close to devils fork state park. Great if you have a boat and want to enjoy the lake! We had 5 adults and used 3/4 rooms. Pleanty of space for us. Really enjoyed the screened in porch. Happy we were able to bring our dogs!

We had a great stay at Jocassee. House was clean, quiet, and super close to the boat ramps at Lake Jocassee. There was plenty of room for our boat. We even saw a mama bear and her cubs. That was a special treat! We will be back. Lake Jocassee has quickly become our favorite lake!

Perfect location!

This location is perfect for Lake Jocassee access, it’s soo close!! Plenty of room to park a boat and the driveway wasn’t steep. We had a great time, the house is comfortable and has everything you need. The most helpful amenities for me were the coffee filters and washer/dryer/detergent!! We had two families with kids and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. Huge dining table for us all to dine at together. The host is very accessible and responsive. Another year of great family memories made at Maplecrest!
