Nestled in a 1400 m2 garden, Villa Karambol is ideally positioned, just a 15-minute walk from the picturesque Anse Mabouya Beach.

The kitchen and living room harmonize to form a delightful living space. The kitchen, both equipped and functional, is complemented by a utility room housing a washing machine. The living space, characterized by clean lines, is adorned with decorative objects paying homage to local craftsmanship: paintings inspired by the colors of Martinique's rum distilleries and a collection of Bakwa hats. A large palm-blade fan gracefully turns on the ceiling.

Villa Karambol boasts five air-conditioned, comfortable, and elegant bedrooms: three on the ground floor, one on the upper floor, and one in a cottage. The first bedroom, furnished with a 140x200 bed, extends into a private shower room. In the second bedroom, a prominent four-poster bed measuring 160x200, adorned with a mosquito net, takes center stage. Facing the pool, the third bedroom is equipped with two beds measuring 90x190. These two rooms share a bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and double sink. Positioned upstairs with a 160x200 bed, the fourth bedroom, complete with a dressing room, is coupled with a charming shower room featuring a toilet. Comfortably nestled in an independent cottage, the fifth bedroom has its own shower room with a toilet.

Bien situé mais besoin de travaux

Nous avons loué cette propriété pour trois semaines avec nos trois enfants de 10 mois à 5 ans. Commençons par le positif: la localisation est idéale pour visiter le Sud de l’île mais également le centre, voire le Nord si on n’a pas peur de faire un peu de route. La maison est relativement spacieuse et le voisinage tranquille (quand les chiens des voisins ne jappent pas). Cuisine quand même bien équipée mais pourrait être mieux. Par contre, il y a plusieurs importants points négatifs à mentionner. Tout d’abord, le système de plomberie est déficient ou mériterait un entretien sérieux. De fortes odeurs nauséabondes d’urine et d’excréments ont embaumé notre séjour pendant plusieurs jours. La table de la salle à manger est brisée (bois en surface pourri et endommagé) et doit être remplacée. Les matériaux (surfaces, planchers, moulures, etc.) sont endommagés à plusieurs endroits: salle d’eau, salle de bain, cuisine et chambres. Les matelas sont très durs et inconfortables. Autres points à améliorer: le drain de douche est bouché, le moustiquaire de la chambre à l’étage ne ferme pas bien, la terrasse est très endommagée, des têtes de vis sortent du bois à plusieurs endroits (très dangereux pour s’y prendre les pieds). Enfin, les communications avec l’hôte en cours de séjours ont été ardues. La gestionnaire de la propriété ne répond pas aux mails le weekend et il nous a fallu deux suivis pour qu’une action soit entreprise en lien avec le problème d’odeurs émanant de la plomberie. La ville a coupé l’eau deux soirs de suite sans que nous ayons été avisés par l’hôte, nous privant de prendre des bains et douches (y compris les enfants), ce qui était inacceptable dans les circonstances. Des avis semblaient pourtant avoir été déposés dans la boîte postale mais n’ont pas été ramassés par la gestionnaire, nous empêchant ainsi d’en être informés à l’avance et prendre des dispositions appropriées. Aussi, elle est entré dans la maison en cours de séjour alors que nous n’y étions pas, sans nous aviser au préalable, ce qui nous a semblé intrusif dans notre intimité. Nous trouvions important de mentionner ces divers problèmes ici car pour le prix payé, nous nous attentions à mieux, autant de la propriété comme telle que de l’hôte, que nous avons trouvé peu professionnelle. Heureusement, les points positifs mentionnés ci-dessus ont rendu notre expérience agréable dans son ensemble.

Grande maison typique pas loin de la mer très agréable à vivre. Très pratique pour la barrière de la piscine, très grand jardin plat avec jeux pour enfants, et petit coup de cœur pour la suite parentale de l étage. Maison idéale avec des enfants petits.

Très bien avant mais sortie plus floue

Réservation très facile, communication fluide et proactive avant l’arrivée notamment en lien avec la situation épidémique Covid (appel pour vérifier la venue, appel pour vérifier le statut vaccinal…) A savoir, la caution est une pré-autorisation de prélèvement sur carte bancaire (il faut communiquer les infos de la carte par mail ou téléphone !). A l’entrée inventaire ultra rapide sans document. A la sortie inventaire rapide sans document. Nous avons cassé un miroir et n’avons aucun document d’inventaire. Il a fallu insister pour savoir avant de quitter la location combien allait être retenu (pour un miroir à cadre en plastique !). Le prélèvement a eu lieu… je n’ai toujours pas de justificatif ni pour le prix du cadre ni pour la fin d’autorisation de prélèvement… Nous sommes rentrés depuis 2 semaines et j’ai relancé au bout de 1 semaine. C’est dommage de perdre la bonne impression de départ dès la fin du séjour. Le séjour et la villa sont conformes au descriptif (la piscine est plus usagée que ce qui se voit sur les photos), la Clim est au efficace dans les 4 chambres. Le cadre est sympa et les accès à la nationale rapides pour se balancer dans l’île.

Très belle maison,très bien équipée, parfaite pour la famille ,idéalement placée pour visiter la Martinique du Nord au Sud . La villa Karambole porte très bien son nom 😉.

La villa est bien agencée pour que chacun soit indépendant , les arbres fruitiers sont appréciés . Mais manque d’entretien de l’infrastructure ,ménage insuffisant . Merci à Corinne pour sa réactivité . Location recommandée si travaux de rénovation .
