There were mixed reviews about this hotel online. But I found it charming, the room was lovely and the reception staff very helpful. It’s directly in the centre of the town and 5 mins away from the basilica of St Mary Magdalene - whose skull is on display there. A beautiful experience overall.

One night in August

We stayed just for one night prior to a wedding. We were warmly greeted on arrival. There were no problems with language. The room was basic but provided all our needs and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was close to the town square for our evening meal.

I had a wonderful time. They upgraded me to a superb room. Everyone was so nice especially the girl at breakfast was an angel. She spoke great English. The restaurant was delicious. Valentan helped me so much. Everything was clean. I recommend this hotel.

The room was very basic and could use a little renovation. The bath towels are clean, but very small and worn out and thin. There is no toilet paper holder.

The women at the front desk and the housekeepers were all helpful and friendly. Every waiter/bartender in the restaurant is rude. Should not be in the service industry

It's an "okay" place to stay

The Hotel is located in a central area of this little city which is convenient. Be advised that there is no parking at the hotel itself as it is located on the main street and even to load/unload the car during daytime is challenging as it is not possible to stop there. There is a free public parking about 50 metres away from the hotel. Also there is no reception from about 11 pm-7:30 am, so if you arrive at that time, you will be given a code to enter the hotel and check yourself in. The hotel is clean but the rooms are relatively small, missing some shelving/chairs. We couldn't find enough space to put our things. The biggest thing for us was lack of lighting in the room. Even with all the available lights on, the room was very dark in some places and we couldn't see anything at night. There is breakfast available on property (just downstairs) for 11 euro and we found it good enough although not extensive. The reception lady wasn't too friendly, neither was she rude. It felt she was rather indifferent during the check out. The overall stay at the hotel was fine for us and there was nothing particularly bad but it is not a place where we would love to come back to unless we need a place to stay and have no other options. P.S. AMEX credit card wasn't accepted even though we were reassured that it was beforehand.

I booked the room on Expedia and when I arrived, the desk told me the room was too small for the amount of luggage I had and that we really needed a larger room which was reasonable. I would like Expedia to indicate whether the rooms at this hotel are small or large so that one is not confronted with booking a larger more expensive room on arrival. This was not the hotel’s fault but Expedia’s. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times before having booked directly withe the hotel without difficulty. The hotel is very good and its restaurant is excellent but Expedia’s lack od description of smal or larfe rooms is a problem

Not a place I would stay again.

The hotel is not bad but the room they gave me was much too small and the bathroom was totally impossible to function in. You could not even turn around in the shower it was so small and because it was old the water seeped out of the shower doors and wet the whole floor. However, the restaurant of the hotel is excellent and they serve a wonderful breakfast for 11 Euros. The staff was very helpful and nice.
