The staff were lovely and courteous but...
1. Signage to the entrance was not clear
2. Expected breakfast per the Hotels.com posting - no breakfast. The posting should clearly state that the hotel is under renovation; therefore certain services are not available. I did not have a car and had no way of getting breakfast the next morning.
3. The room appeared clean, but soap from the previous occupant was not removed and there was food in the refrigerator. It made me question the cleanliness.
4. Garbage only removed every 4th day. This was not explained when checking in, and, quite frankly is a ridiculous requirement. The desk person actually asked me to empty my own garbage. I am not a snob, but I don't ask guests at my house to empty their own garbage, I would certainly not expect to do so in a hotel where I am paying for the room. Especially since my garbage was already full from emptying the refrigerator of food from the previous occupant.
