Worn, tired apartment in need of a renovation
Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights in August 2018. It is a quirky apartment and has its pro's and con's.
Pro's:
quiet neighborhood away from the main street
2 large balconies with views
available within a 2-day notice
walking distance to small town of St Gervais.
Con's:
Furniture (2 armchairs and one sleeper sofa) dirty and worn
Beds very uncomfortable and squeaky
No sheets, pillowcases or duvet covers, had to pay extra to borrow towels
Instructions for internet passcode were hard to find
There were several things that were broken (shower door and some lamps)
There were no smoke detectors or fire extinguishers
The room upstairs (attic) has such sloping ceilings that an adult cannot stand up straight in the space.
The kitchen is so small and actually is enclosed in a half wall and a door: more like a closet.
The toilet is in the water heater closet.
Like I said, quirky. The place would be wonderful if renovated and the space was reconfigured, new furniture and everything...The price we paid reflects a 4-star place but in fact, it is more like a 2.5 star place. I would not rent this place again.
