Here is my honest review of the Holiday Inn: When I first walked in, I was impressed. The property itself is beautiful and the location is great. However, it did take quite some time to get in touch with a manager, despite leaving several messages a month in advance regarding a very important matter. I was traveling for business and had to bring my mother with me, who was recovering from breast cancer surgery. Because of her condition, I requested a late checkout and made it clear that I did not mind paying any additional fees. Unfortunately, no one initially returned my calls. I eventually reached someone through Hotels.com, who was kind and helpful and confirmed a 3:00 PM late checkout for a $50 fee. That part was handled smoothly. Upon arrival, I double-checked the late checkout details with the front desk agent, Jules, and she confirmed everything was correct. However, there were issues with our room assignment. We were mistakenly placed in a king room instead of a two-queen room—twice. Thankfully, a kind young man corrected the issue and got us into the appropriate room. The kitchen staff, especially Veronica, was wonderful—kind, professional, and amazing. On my final day, I again confirmed with staff that our checkout time was 3:00 PM. I explained that I would be unavailable due to business commitments and needed my mother to rest uninterrupted. I was reassured everything was in order. Unfortunately, I later returned to find that my mother had almost been asked to

We stayed in room 111 a the roof had a leak in it and the room smelled like mold. I reported to the first desk and the wrote in down for the manager in the morning. In the morning I walked to the front desk to speak about this and was giving a call and said they couldn’t do anything about it since it was booked on Expedia and that I need to speak with the General manager Ruth. I’ve called several times and left a message and no one answers the front desk line.

Great staff, very courteous and kind. Our room was clean, and well equipped with a mini-frig, coffee maker, shampoo, and lotion. The included breakfast was decent, with a good selection of breakfast items (muffins, eggs, coffee, etc). My only complaints were the sticky door hardware. Ours was very difficult to open. These should be either adjusted or replaced (soon). Secondly was all the noise. It sounded like our hotel wing was having a door slamming contest at 6AM in the morning. All the door slamming was very irritating (and almost a little comical). If not all the noise, we would have had a restful stay. Unfortunately we did not.
