Stunning property, spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable. We were met by John who took excellent care of us but the other members of staff were just as helpful. The restaurant on site was not only convenient but served a tasty dinner and brekky. The weather was perfect and the pool highly enjoyable, overlooking tbe douro valley/river. I would recommend a bottle of wine while you're swimming. I would love to return here one day.

Quinta da Marka is an amazing place to stay. They view of the Douro Valley abs River from the terraces and the pool are sensational. The service was brilliant, with Angela going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. The breakfast was good, with lots of options, dinner and the selection of wine and port was also great. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough, we will be returning.

One of the best staff I’ve ever encountered in my life. It’s like being with family. It’s a very secluded place with amazing views, quiet and beautiful. The staff gives you options to have dinner or lunch. The property has everything you need to relax and enjoy some unwinding from the city life

Quinta de Marka is a magical wine villa in a picture-perfect setting overlooking the best area of the Douro Valley, away from the busy tourist activities but easily accessible to them by train. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was great, but the true secret ingredient was the people. Everyone, starting with Angela (the manager), her sister Anabela, and all the staff were extremely warm, helpful, and truly felt like friends by the time we left. We could not have asked for anything better

Angela, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. So is her sister. She even invited one friend to sing with her for the guests before dinner on Thursday. I also enjoyed talking with one of the owners Carlos about plats and vineyards and winemaking in the region. The entire property was beautifully designed and maintained with a variety of plants, in addition to the vines.

Loved this hotel! Amazing views and wonderful staff. Angela was so helpful in getting us a reservation at a nearby vineyard for a tour and tasting. You’ll definitely need a car, as there really is nothing within walking distance. If you want to get away from it all and enjoy amazing views of the valley in a quiet environment, this is the place for you. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Our meal at dinner was very good, and so was the complimentary breakfast. There are other restaurants down by the river, but it's a bit of a drive on narrow, winding roads. I would not recommend driving them in the dark. No reason to really go anywhere else while at Da Marka. They have everything you need right there. Highly recommend this spot! One minor issue was that the walls of the rooms are pretty thin, so you can hear your neighbors moving around and toilets flushing, but guests were generally quiet.
